Yes, El Tiburon Casitas are off street behind a large gate that is locked at night. Boat parking may be available for an additional fee depending on the size of the boat and the availability at the time . Additonal fees for engine flushing or boat washing. Fresh water is one of our most valued commodities in Loreto. Lucy the guard dog is also on duty.
We have a beautiful sparkling swimming pool with underwater seats available to our registered guests. Currently the temp is in the 70's. Pool towels are in the casitas for on site use. Plastic drinkware also in room for use on the deck. Deck loungers and pool floats also at pool. Wireless internet works well around the pool and BBQ area. El Tiburon's secure code will be given to you on request.
The casitas are on city water, electricity, and sewer. The water is safe to drink but most people drink filtered water to be sure. Electricity is 110V, same as in the US. Local Mexican cell phones work well in the area. Verizon will NOT work in Loreto. Skype computer phone communication works well in Loreto and can be easily used at our site from your computer. We have free wireless internet on site. Several nearby coffee shops also have free wireless internet and will give you the password on request.
Absolutely. We will contact Nacho for you or if you prefer you can call him directly. However, it is not a problem to make these arrangements after you arrive in most cases. We recommend checking the weather first as soon as you arrive. Nacho runs the Marvalita fleet of Superpangas. This is a Mexican company who we can highly recommend. Their Mexican Captains will meet you at the Harbor usually around 6:30 AM. Most speak some English. Bring a cooler and zip lock bags and Nacho will clean and filet your catch.
There are several other commercial tour operators in Loreto also that you can contact directly or check out websites such as Baja Big Fish Company.
This is a non smoking facility. Please smoke in outside areas/patios. Ashtrays around pool and BBQ areas.
Pets may be allowed with an additional fee by interview only. Consider visiting in the cooler months even though the dog areas are in the shade. Dogs must get along with people and other dogs and not be barkers.
There are several laundrymats near the property, the closest one is one block away. Most are full service. Drop your clothes off and pick them up clean and folded!
Maid service included. Bedding changes every 4-5 days depending on length of stay. Towels changed more frequently if needed. Monthly guests can arrange for daily service, dishwashing etc for an additional fee paid to maid.
Dollars or Pesos generally accepted everywhere. US Dollars can be exchanged at most banks with a daily limit of 450.00 USD . You must show your passport at the bank.
Some shops and restaurants take credit cards. You will generally get the best rate with pesos. ATM cards are useful also, check with your bank prior to coming to Mexico as they often require your pre- authorization to use internationally. Same for VISA, etc.
The main Bancomer bank and ATM is just 1 block away at the Mission plaza. Banamex Bank located farher away on the main road as you come into town.
Not to stay with us. Passports are required for re-entry into the United States.
Taxis are always available at the airport on arrival. Vans usually pool customers together and it is a 5 minute ride into town. Always ask the price to avoid surprises.
From the Highway, folow the signs to the beach/ Malecon/ Harbor.
From the south end of the Harbor, turn up the short dirt road next to the Thrifty Ice cream trailer parked on the corner. This is Agua Dulce street. Straight ahead you will see our Green steel gate with the El Tiburon Casitas banner. Gate is usually unlocked during business hours and the current code will be sent to you if you are planning to arrive in the night. Address 30 Calle Davis. Give this address to the taxi driver.
Alternatively, head east on Benito Juarez and turn left on Calle Davis. Casitas on your left at the corner of Agua Dulce. Casitas are not seen from the street, they are behind a privacy wall so look for the big green gate with El Tiburon sign!
